Ania Hobson is half Polish and half English. Her grandfather Edward Trojanowski was a well known Krakovian painter of the early 1900’s who’s work still hangs in the National Museum of Warsaw. She has a degree in Fine Art, has studied at the Princes Drawing School in London, as well as Portraiture at the Florence Academy of Art, Italy.
Ania is a contemporary figurativ...e painter based in Suffolk and the Winner of the Young Artist Award for the BP Portrait Awards 2018 in the National Portrait Gallery. The BP Portrait Awards is one of the most prestigious portrait painting competitions in the world.
Ania has also exhibited a self portrait at the Royal Society Of Portrait Painters Annual exhibition 2016, and with the Society of Women Artists at the Mall Galleries in London, 2015, as well at the Royal Society Of British Artists.
Ania's paintings hang in Italy, Holland, Germany, Canada and the USA and has paintings on permanent display at the Gallery at Snape Maltings, Suffolk , and at Thompson's Gallery, Aldeburgh.
