Spanish born painter, Felix Anaut is known for his paintings based in abstract expressionism and figurative monumentalism.
He studied at the L’ecole de Montparnasse d’Art et Dessin” in Paris in 1978-79, and has lived in Madrid, Tangier, Ibiza, England, Belfast. ...He currently lives and paints in South West France and spends some time in his studio in Ireland.
His recent works have been inspired by music, in particular Baroque music, and the sysnaethesia between this and visual art.
As well as working on paper and canvas, Felix Anaut has also developed his work by applying the Visual Music artwork to large, unique earthenware forms created in collaboration with the Abio Brothers in Spain.
Across a career spanning three decades he has had considerable success and recognition, especially in the European Art Scene, exhibiting widely in both public and private sectors, notably in France, Spain, England, Italy and Ireland.
Among career highlights he was awarded the "Career Recognition" award at the Florence Biennale 2003 and listed by the Spanish national newspaper, El Mundo, in their annual year review as one of the most influential personalities in the Arts, 2005-2006.
