Interesting range of surrealist painting, etching and sculpture. Text helped to link individual artists and work to their context. It felt quite intense in the space, I would have enjoyed more room. (MacWilliams'?) left handed tea drinker is the most memorable piece for me.Photography not allowed.

Fantastic Kaffe Fassett and Candace Bahooth exhibition. Beautifully curated in a great setting. Lots of thought had gone into the displays and they worked brilliantly. The building itself is interesting and very well presented, with a lovely shop. We had a warm welcome from staff as we arrived and an extremely helpful and knowledgeable guide gave us extra info and answered our questions in the exhibition. Really enjoyable.

Only the Ladybird Books exhibition was open when we visited due to refurbishment of the upper floor. This is worth a visit on it's own, being interested to oldies and children alike. A good option for a wet day as it's right in the city centre. Visited on Weekday Wait time 30–60 min Reservation recommended Not sure … More

A wonderful little gallery. We went specifically to see an exhibition about Ladybird books which was both nostalgic and informative. The staff were friendly and the gallery lovely. A cracking little shop too. I bought tickets in advance but you can also get on the door. I will return to see Grayson Perry exhibits when the work is completed upstairs.
