It’s great to have a gallery in Cambridge that takes Modern art seriously and presents it so well.

I was very pleased to learn that there is new contemporary art gallery in Cambridge and even more pleased on Saturday, when we visited, to discover a wonderful exhibition of brilliant paintings, prints and sculptures (at very reasonable prices for such quality) in an absolutely delightful space. It was a real treat and I look forward to visiting again.

Found this little gem during a passing visit to Cambridge. Ali kindly stayed open for us during a last minute late stop off. The team were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up purchasing a perfect piece for our dining room which we had been searching for for over 6 months. The team help us to secure the piece under the 0% finance ‘Own Art’ scheme.Kevin personally kindly delivered our purchase to Yorkshire, amazing service.Win win for all!

If you go down to the woods today you’re sure of a big surpris.AKA contemporary did it again last night with Ode to Another. How do you follow Laurence Edwards and Adam Taylor, obviously with Lillias August & Jonathan Clarke. I didn’t think this unlikely duo would work but it is a triumph all shown off to their best at 54A Cherry Hinton road gallery. Everywhere I look I see pieces I want to own from both artists. The soft detail of Lillias is sublime and Jonathan Clarke’s sings from every corner of the gallery. Best from Lillias is Holly Branch and Olive Branch, it would be rude not to have the pair. With Jonathan it is Bird Man (Cornelius). Angel of the North eat your heart out…Sorry but true. Mangosuthu Buthelezi and his Zulu Queen, fabulous. I call the pieces by Jonathan as I see them, Say Hello Wave Goodbye another piece I love.If you haven’t seen the exhibition yet, and many haven’t, go, don’t deprive yourself, and if you’re very very lucky you may just walk away with a piece of magic.

Always enjoy my visits to this new contemporary gallery. Beautiful space with lots of light. Do enjoy seeing the different art not offered at any of the other galleries around Cambridge.
