The Courtauld Gallery in London is a small but well-curated museum with a stunning collection of Impressionist, Post-Impressionist, and modern art. The gallery is housed in Somerset House, a beautiful 18th-century building on the Strand. The Courtauld's collection is particularly strong in French art, with works by Monet, Renoir, Cézanne, Gauguin, and Van Gogh.In addition to its permanent collection, the Courtauld hosts a variety of temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Recent exhibitions have featured the work of Picasso, Matisse, and Rembrandt. The Courtauld Gallery is a must-visit for art lovers of all levels. The collection is small enough to be seen in a few hours, but there is enough to keep you engaged for much longer. The gallery is also a great place to learn about the history of modern art.

Fantastic display of Impressionist paintings by a variety of masters. The exhibits on art forgeries were also extremely interesting. It’s nice to take all this in without the crush of people experienced at other galleries.

If you want to visit an art gallery, you must choose classics! The Courtauld Art Museum is located in the quiet center of London. Of course, the number of collections is not as high as that of the national level, but there are many authentic works of famous artists, such as the collections of famous painters such as Cézanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Renoir. It’s true that seeing is believing, and every piece of fine work, even if time flies, the brushwork still shakes people’s hearts! We really deserved it!

The staircase is worth seeing. Art also. Really nothing to criticise here.. Some well known artists , famous works and other stuff you won't know. I enjoyed the few 'fakes ' the gallery have (knowingly) hung on the wall. I mean, they tell you they are fake otherwise you and I wouldn't know. I'm no art expert, and I'm not even sure I know what I like but this place is a good stop on a day out in London. If you don't stare at each piece for hours you can be respectfully done in about an hour to hour and a half. Enjoy.

When I went on a weekday afternoon, it was so quiet that I wondered if it might be the quietest gallery in London. I was able to enjoy the works comfortably. I was happy to be able to slowly look at the paintings of my favorite Impressionist artists.

개인적으로 테이트 모던보다 코톨드 갤러리가 더 재미있었고 인상 깊었다.----Among the art galleries I visited in London, my favorite is the Courtauld Gallery.Unlike other art galleries, it is quite and pleasant to see. There is an admission fee, whic is different from the National Gallery and Tate Modern, but if you have an Internation student ID card or go to a university in Europe, you can enter for free.Until I visited, I thought that only students attending universities in Europe were free, but it turn out that International student ID holders can also enter for free.Compared to other art galleries, it is small in scale, but there are quite a few famous paintings that you would have seen at least once somewhere, and it is a place where the level of immersion is high.Personally, the Courtauld Gallery was more interesting and impressive than the Tate Modern.

This is a wonderful little gallery in the heart of central London, within the Somerset House complex. While there are interesting exhibitions on a range of periods and styles, the main attraction is the top floor that houses some world-famous impressionist art. Manets, Renoirs, Gaugins, Van Goghs can be found here and you will not be disappointed.

I am a "friend" of the gallery. I can visit as much as I want with the "friend" card and also get discounts on the gift shop and the coffee shop downstairs. If you are visiting for one time, it is still worth the price and the amazing experience, especially if you are interested in Impressionism like myself.

If you come to London, this is a must-visit course. There are so many great works by famous painters such as Van Gogh, Seurat, Monet, and Cézanne. Above all, it is a relatively unknown place, so if you go on a weekday, you can quietly concentrate and appreciate it. Strongly recommended!

Loved my experience at this small, intimate museum, that is packed with treasures in their permanent collection, as well as interesting traveling exhibits. The works are displayed in lovely rooms, along several floors; I loved the spiral staircase in the center (there is also an elevator). I went specifically to view works from Gauguin, but lingered in the rooms with works from Manet, Monet, and other masters. The museum is part of Somerset and just steps away from the bus stop (double decker tour buses), which made it convenient to get to. There is also a gift shop inside.

Anyone who likes the Early Impressionist & Impressionist like Manet, van Gogh, and Cezanne must visit the LVMH Great Room on the third floor. On the 2nd floor, Rubens & 17th century. On the 1st floor, you'll find in the Medieval Gallery a Courtauld Bag! This gallery is really worth a visit. There are lifts for easy access. My mother had just died and I had come into London to settle some of her affairs. Tried as I might I could not lift the weight of her loss no matter how often I watched the boats pass on the Thames. Then I decided to pop into the Courtauld Gallery to check out the art. I knew the collection was not as overwhelming as the National Gallery so I felt up to the task. Pleasantly, I was able to enter free after showing them that I was a teacher. Furthermore, they weren't so demanding that I didn't have teaching credentials on me like so many museums are. Struggling teachers appreciate any help they can get.I gratefully took advantage of the free lockers and shoved my bag into one. I took out my camera and visited the three floors of art that awaited me. The first floor had the earlier European art from the 1300's to 1400's. Not everyone likes this stuff but I am a big fan of artists such as Robert Campin or Bernardo Daddi. Just by absorbing the infinite details of the paintings, I felt lighter. The second floor has later, more recognizable works by artists such as Rubens, Goya, or Lucas Cranach. Many nice pieces here. Finally the third floor had the impressionists. This is what most people come to see. No wonder with works from Renoir, Van Gogh, Degas just to name a few.So after three hours of fun I left the Gallery full of the greens of Cezanne's landscapes in my head and a little happiness in my heart. And I can enjoy the many photos I took there even now. Thanks to all who were so friendly in the Courtauld. I appreciate it.

Good gallery but the tickets were overpriced, in my opinion. For what it has to offer, apart from Van Gogh, Monet and Manet’s couple of works, there rest isn’t as impressive, to be completely honest. I really enjoyed the exhibition on display and the staff were nice too. The whole gallery is beautiful to be honest and I would definitely come again to bring friends or recommend to others. I’d definitely going to the gift shop too- many products are expensive but there are some bookmarks for £3.50 and postcards for cheaper than that. I’d recommend buying tickets in advance which from I remember the website recommends too especially if you’re a student you can access most for free expect the members only sections!
