Artist Biography - Elaine Coppen

Elaine studied at Norwich School of Art and Design gaining a B.A. (Hons) Fine Art, having previously learnt printmaking skills such as linocuts (relief prints), etching and silk screen, at Colchester Institute.

...graph plates. I enjoy printmaking because there is always an element of surprise in the results. Different effects can be achieved by changing the process slightly, the pressure of the press, a different colour on top of another or combining more than one printing plate, whether it be etching, lino or collograph.”
Elaine is a member of Gainsborough's House Printworkshop in Sudbury. Her work has been shown at Gainsborough's House and in many exhibitions including The Minories, Colchester
